All India mango festival from June 8 to 27

Krishnagiri: The 16th all India mango festival will be held from June 8 to 27 in Krishnagiri.

A competition to judge the best mango produce would also be held during the exhibition said District Revenue Officer C. Nagarajan here on Friday.

Mango farmers and pulp producers from the States of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra will display their produce and prizes would be awarded to the first three selected in each category.

Horticultural farms, National Horticulture Board , Agriculture Processed Foods and Export Development Authority , Safal National Exchange and research stations from the country are expected to display their produce.

Over 200 stalls would be set up by Departments of Horticulture, Agriculture, line departments’ mango farmers and pulp producers. Minister for Agriculture Veerapandi S. Arumugam will inaugurate the exhibition.
