900 petitions handed over

NAMAKKAL: The district administration received over 900 grievance petitions during the Jamabandhi, the annual verification of revenue records, held in Paramathi Velur taluk.

A majority of the petitions were related to patta transfer, old age pension, formation of new roads and issue of community certificate, new family cards and death certificate. The officials had given reply to 485 petitions on the spot.

The remaining petitions had been forwarded to the departments concerned.

The administration would initiate steps to redress the grievances of all the petitioners and a proper reply would be sent to the petitioners within 15 days.
