Just not cricket! Virender Sehwag and Sourvav Ganguly would have been disappointed at a crucial match being washed away.

NEW DELHI: Rain left Delhi Daredevils dejected and the 20,000-odd spectators frustrated at the Ferozeshah Kotla on Thursday as the DLF-Indian Premier League match against Kolkata Knight Riders was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Delhi now has 13 points from 13 matches and needs to win the last encounter against Mumbai Indians here on Saturday. Kolkata, which has been eliminated from the race, has 11 points with a match to go. Delhi, of course, can progress only if Mumbai (12 from 11 matches) and Chennai Super Kings (14 points from 12 matches) lose their remaining fixtures.

Chennai plays Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers in the last two encounters while Mumbai has fixtures against Rajasthan and Bangalore Royal Challengers.
