Central Secretariat, FCI win
NEW DELHI: Dilip Bhandari struck the winner as Central Secretariat defeated Airports Authority of India 1-0 in the ‘A’ division final of the DSA institutional football league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Tuesday.
In the senior division, Food Corporation of India (FCI), North Zone, regained the title with a 5-4 victory over Delhi Audit in the tie-break after the teams had locked goalless during the regulation period.
Ashish Pandey, Gaimlung Kamei, Manish, Mehtab Ahmed and Trilok Singh Bisht were successful in converting the penalties for FCI. Rishi Kapoor, Birender Bhakuni, Neeraj Choudhary and S. Negi converted for Audit, but Naresh Mann missed the target.
Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) was presented the fair-play trophy.
