Yadhush stars for YCC

Udhagamandalam: A fine knock of 121 by P.C. Yadhush Bose saw Youngstars Cricket Club score a three-wicket win over Cordite Factory Sports Club in the Canara Bank-NDCA first division cricket league for the M.A. Chidambaram Rolling Trophy at the HPF grounds here on Monday.

The scores: First division: Cordite Factory SC 226 (K. Sivakumar 42 n.o.) lost to Youngstars CC 227 for seven (P.C. Yadhush Bose 121); Yankees CC 166 (G. Ishwar 47 n.o., Timothy five for 37) lost to Nilgiris CC 167 for five (A. Sasi 76 n.o.)

Second division: Pandalur Taluk SC 73 (Santhosh four for 13) lost to Don Bradmans CC 75 for seven in 19 overs.

Third division ‘A’: Classic CC 176 bt Yellanhalli XI CC 84 (Madhavan five for 15).

Rifle camp

The Coimbatore Rifle Club will conduct its fourth summer coaching camp for school children at the PRS grounds from May 25 to 31.

Children will get a chance to learn the basics of target shooting. The Club plans to impart training in air weapons and later in rifle and pistol shooting.
