Interim report submitted

CHENNAI: Former Judge of the Madras High Court, Justice P. Shanmugam, who is probing the telephone tapping incident, submitted on Monday his interim report to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi at the Secretariat.

He was appointed on April 16 to inquire into the alleged overhearing and recording of a telephonic conversation between Chief Secretary L.K. Tripathy and an Additional Director-General of Police. PWD and Law Minister Durai Murugan,

Home Secretary S. Malathy and Public Secretary D. Jothi Jagarajan were present when the interim report was submitted.
