Big win for Rising Star CC

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rising Star CC crushed MCC ‘B’ by 109 runs in the Canara Bank-TDCA ‘C’ division cricket league at the Agriculture College ground here on Sunday.

In another match at the LNCPE ground, Marshals CC defeated Trivandrum Cricket Club by 35 runs.

The scores: Rising Star CC 202 in 45 overs (Hakkim 47, Sreekumar 40, Pratap five for 53) bt MCC ‘B’ 93 in 34.4 overs (Sudheer five for 27); Marshals CC 184 in 35 overs (Vimal S. Panickar 75 n.o., Shivsundar six for 48) bt Trivandrum CC 149 in 43 overs (R.K. Biju five for 65).
