Razeen wins second gold

Palayamkottai: J. Razeen of SDAT, who set a new meet record in the men’s discus throw event on Saturday, added a second gold in shot put with a throw of 14.47m in the 81st Tamil Nadu State senior athletics championship organised by Tirunelveli District Athletic Association at Anna Stadium here on Sunday.

Southern Railway (Chennai) topped the medals tally with a tally of 25 medals (15 gold, seven silver and three bronze), while St. Joseph’s Prime Sports Academy (Chennai) which won 35 medals (seven gold, 11 silver and 17 bronze) finished second.

The overall championship, according to the points tally, went to St. Joseph’s PSA with a total of 215 points and Southern Railway finished second with 141 points.
