VIJAYAWADA: A 22-year-old car driver was murdered at Prakasam Barrage late on Friday and the body was fished out from the Krishna on Saturday. The One Town police identified the victim as Burela Eeswara Rao of Ayodhya Nagar. During preliminary investigation, the police found that Rao had developed intimacy with the wife of his tenant. They suspected that the tenant, with the help of one of his relatives, could have hatched a conspiracy to kill Rao and had chosen Prakasam Barrage as the spot. It was suspected that Rao, who was in an inebriated condition, was thrown into the river from the barrage. The accused was absconding. Rao’s body was sent for a post-mortem.
