Contract lecturers stage dharna

KADAPA: Government Contract Lecturers Association members staged a dharna before the Collectorate on Saturday demanding regularisation of their services.

Association president Narasaiah and secretary Lakshmi Reddy said contract lecturers lacked job security but degree and junior college managements were holding them responsible for lapses.

They demanded payment of Rs.12,000 and Rs.15,000 to contract lecturers in junior and degree colleges respectively, provident fund and ESI facilities and maternity leave for women contract lecturers.
