Polling peaceful in Chikmagalur

Correspondent

CHIKMAGALUR: About 65 per cent polling was recorded from the five Assembly constituencies in Chikmagalur district on Friday.

Polling was peaceful barring stray incidents of violence. Two persons were injured in a scuffle in Kaimara, about seven km from here. They were admitted to a hospital. Cases have been registered against them.

Voting was brisk in the 17 polling booths in the naxal-affected areas of the district.
