Dhanush sparkles

Bangalore: An all-round performance by Dhanush, who claimed five wickets 10 runs and later hit an unbeaten 41, helped Jayanagar Cricket Academy to beat Jungle Lodges XI by six wickets in the M. Visveswaraiah memorial inter-acdamey Twenty20 cricket tournament here.

The scores:

Jungle Lodges XI 130 in 19.3 overs (Dhanush four for 20) lost JCA 136 for four in 134.2 overs (Dhanush 41 n.o.).

Anand Sweets 140 for six in 20 overs (Prateeksh 42) lost SJIHS 141 for four in 19 overs (Naveen 40).

Snooker tournament

Football trials

Bharath Electronics Sports Club will conduct selection trials to choose players for its team at the Dr. Ambedkar Stadium, Jalahalli here on May 19 and 20.

Big win for FUFC

Friends Union FC drubbed Young Men’s FC 6-0 in the MDFA’s ‘C’ division football league championship at Mysore on Friday.

Mustapha (eighth and 11th minutes) and Duke Royce (12th and 45th) netted a brace each while Asim Ahmed (50th) and Lalven Gange netted the other goals.

Badminton tournament

A district level badminton tournament will be conducted by the Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore at the University Gymnasium from May 19 to May 21.

Events will be conducted for Boys and Girls (below 14 years, 16 years, 20 years ) and veterans (above 40 years).
