No sale of meat
The slaughtering of animals and sale of meet has been prohibited on Monday (May 19), on account of Buddha Poornima. Slaughter is permitted up to 8 a.m. of May 18 and may be commenced from 5 a.m. of May 20, according to a release from Karnataka Meet and Poultry Sale Corporation Limited.
