Strike called off

GUNTUR: The sanitation workers have called off their strike in the city at a time when the Guntur Municipal Corporation was getting ready to deploy private labourers for cleaning and clearing of garbage. The HC had asked GMC to go ahead with the tendering process for sanitation works, but not to open the tender bids. The court has set May 21 as the next date for hearing of the petition.
