Satish scores century

Bangalore: Satish’s 105 helped Hanumanthanagar CC score 277 for six in 43 overs in reply to Gary Cricketers’ 280 in a KSCA Group I, third division league match that concluded in a draw here recently.

The scores:

Group I: Third Division: Gary Cricketers 280 in 50.2 overs (Prashanth 77, Sharath Uthappa 50, D. Arun four for 83) drew with Hanumanthanagar CC 277 for six in 43 overs (Satish 105, Ajit 55).

Group I: Second Division: Visveswarapuram CC (1) 233 for six in 55 overs drew with FUCC (2) 167 for four in 29 overs (Sandeep 68, Sadiq Kirmani 54).

Dinesh shines

Dinesh Borwankar’s unbeaten 76 guided Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC) to a nine-wicket victory over Canara Blues in a M. Vishveswaraiah Memorial inter-academy twenty20 tournament match here on Wednesday.

The scores: Canara Blues 122 for seven in 20 overs lost to KIOC 123 for one in 11.1 overs (Dinesh Borwankar 76 n.o.); SJIHS 151 for seven in 20 overs bt JPNCA 125 for seven in 20 overs.

Diamond CC posts win

Diamond CC defeated Nellisara CC by seven wickets in a Malenadu Cup Twenty20 match at Shimoga on Thursday.

The scores: Nellisara CC 117 for six in 20 overs lost to Diamond CC 118 for three in 15.5 overs (Gokul 40 n.o.).

Easy for Friends Union

Friends Union FC scored a 3-0 win over Challenge Union FC in the MDFA ‘C’ division league match at Mysore on Thursday.

Anthony (18th minute.), Syed Shakeeb (22nd) and right-out Md. Usman (54th) scored.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Netaji FC registered a 3-1 win over Young Men’s FC. Somanna (21st and 53rd ) and Karthik (29th) found the target. Sachin (3rd) reduced the margin.

VMCA takes lead

Vasant Murdeshwar Cricket Academy (VMCA), Dharwad registered a 59-run win over Jawahar Sports Club, Bangalore to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series for the Dr. Shyam Jorapur Memorial Trophy at Dharwad on Wednesday.

The scores:

VMCA, Dharwad 218 for six in 40 overs (Shashank Hulamani 55,) bt Jawahar SC, Bangalore 159 in 33.3 overs (Vishnuprabhas 41).

Narrow win for SDMCA

SDM Cricket Association (SDMCA) beat BDK Sports Foundation (BDKSF) by one wicket in the KSCA first division league matches played at the Karnataka Gymkhana Ground, Hubli, on Thursday.

The scores: BDKSF 197 in 44.5 overs (Shishir Bhavane 59, Devaraj Koti 39) lost to SDMCA 198 for nine in 43.5 overs (Habib Tadapatri 77 n.o.). Summer chess camp
