Allow prayers at mosque: CPI (M)

CHENNAI: Communist Party of India (Marxist) state secretary N. Varadharajan on Wednesday urged the State government and the Centre to allow Muslims to pray at the mosque inside the Vellore fort.

In a statement here, Mr. Varadharajan said when Hindus and Christians were allowed to pray in the temple and church inside the Fort, under the control of the Centre, denying permission to Muslims had caused discontent among the community. — Special Correspondent
