Woman run over by private bus

NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old woman was run over by a private bus at Nandnagri here on Monday. A hunt has been launched for the driver. The mishap took place when Deepa was on her way back home on a motorcycle driven by her colleague Ravi. They were at the foot of a flyover when the speeding bus hit them from behind. While Ravi escaped with minor injuries, Deepa sustained serious head injuries and died while being taken to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital. The bus driver sped away. A case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving has been registered at the Nandnagri police station.
