CHENNAI: Purjith Narayanan’s splendid all-round show took AVM CA to victory over MAS ‘A’ in the Singaram Pillay under-14 Trophy cricket tournament here.

The scores: AVM CA192 in 29 overs. (K. Srivinay 54) bt Singaram Pillay CA140 for nine in 30 overs (Bharath: 48 not out, Vijay Kiran three for 21, Jugal three for 27).

KSCA 74 in 22.1 overs (Ashwin Kumar 25, G. Jagan four for 23) lost to Asiatic CA 75 for two in 15.4 overs (Sudarshan.N.R.S. 38 not out).

AVM CA 224 for nine in 30 overs (Purjith Narayanan 90) bt MAS ‘A’ 38 in 14.1 overs (Purjith Narayanan six for 3). Prahlad CA 166 for five in 30 overs (Mukunta 75, M.Adithyan 50) bt J.S.RAo CA 99 in 28.2 overs (Arun four for 14).

United CA 111 for seven in 30 overs (Sachin Yethendra 50, Pragdesh three for 8) bt KSCA 91 in 23 overs (Ashwin kumar 32, Aditya five for 29).

J.S. Rao CA 117 in 29.3 overs (Fayas 34, Kavin 26, Ganesh Lingam three for 14, Vignesh three for 9) lost to Ebenezer CA 118 for five in 22.5 overs (Kishore 62, Mitchell 38, Harsha three for three).

KSCA 161 for nine in 30 overs (Krishnan 30, Sai Raghavendar three for 23) bt Budding Stars 110 in 30 overs.

MAS ‘B’ 85 in 23.1 overs (Kishore four for10) lost to Ebenezer CA 87 for three in 17.3 overs (S.Kamesh 50 not out).

Narrow win for CW

Vishwanath’s effort of four for 25 went in vain as Colloquial Willows beat Ocean XI by two wickets in a league match of the Peepee SSCA Twenty20 cricket tournament.

Ocean XI 125 for eight in 20 overs (Annamalai 33, Zaheer three for 25, Nanda two for 21, Udayanidhi two for 21) lost to Colloquial Willows 126 for eight in 18.4 overs (Nanda 28 n.o., Zaheer 41, Vishwanath four for 25, Sherif two for 19).

Samsan CC 69 in 12.2 overs (Achuthan 25, Kamal five for 19, Srivatsan two for 11) lost to Phoenix players 71 for seven in 13.2 overs (Harith three for 24, Prasanth two for 10).

PLP CC 110 in 17.5 overs (Ravi 25, Vidhya Shankar 25, Ebenesar three for 17, Muruga two for 15) lost to Vauman Agencies Ox and Fox 111 for four in 15.2 overs (Sridhar 36, Muruga 24 n.o.).

Manikandan sizzles

Radheesh Manikandan’s unbeaten 148 (104b, 23x4, 1x5) enabled J.S. Rao CA beat Kedar CA ‘C’ by 228 runs in the Giri Memorial under-13 cricket tournament here.

The scores: J.S. Rao CA 292 for one in 30 overs (Radheesh Manikandan 148 n.o., C. Tejas 82) bt Kedar CA ‘C’ 64 in 19 overs.
