NEW DELHI: V.V.S. Laxman is under no pressure from Deccan Chronicle, the franchise owners of Deccan Chargers, for not having performed to the potential. Deccan Chargers has won just two matches out of nine. “We are under no pressure from the team owners. They understand their cricket and know that we are in this position because we lost a few close games. I am very happy the way the owners have been supporting the players. They know we are trying our best and as long as we are doing that I think there should not be any pressure,” said Laxman. The Deccan Chargers captain has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League due to a wrist injury. On some franchise owners putting pressure on the team, Laxman observed, “It depends on the team. It is their team and they can tell the captain to do something for the team.” — Special Correspondent
