For better score: Students and parents queuing up to get application forms in Madurai on Monday.

MADURAI: Students, who appeared for Plus Two examinations held in March 2008, and parents evinced keen interest to get the application forms for revaluation, re-totalling and for obtaining photocopies of answer sheets. The Plus Two examination results were published on Friday.

Even as the distribution of application forms began, they gathered in large numbers at the three venues, here on Monday. Application forms are being distributed at the Offices of the Chief Educational Officer, District Educational Officer and Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations.

“Application to obtain photocopies is permitted only for seven subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Computer Science,” said R. Pandurangan, Chief Educational Officer.

Separate application forms should be submitted for each subject by presenting a demand draft for Rs.275 drawn from any nationalised bank in favour of ‘Director of Government Examinations, Chennai-6’ payable at Chennai.

“Those who have applied for photocopies need not apply for revaluation or re-totalling simultaneously. If need be, they can do so after obtaining the photocopies but separate Demand Draft should be presented,” said Mr. Pandurangan.

Re-totalling fee

The re-totalling fee for Tamil, English and Biology is Rs. 305 and Rs. 205 for the rest of the subjects. The filled in application forms should be submitted on or before May 15. The overwhelming response was due to the dependence on marks obtained in the Plus Two examinations for getting admission in colleges offering professional courses.
