Staff Correspondent

Udupi: Suspected naxalites have urged people at Andar village in Karkala taluk of Udupi district to boycott the Assembly elections.

Superintendent of Anti-Naxalite Force (ANF) Subash Gudimani told The Hindu that some people visited the village between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Sunday.

They tied a banner and pasted pamphlets on the walls of the house at Andar village.

In the pamphlets and banner, they urged the people to boycott the elections. They have also demanded better infrastructure facilities.
