Three arrested in job racket case

Special correspondent

CHENNAI: Three persons, including a woman, were arrested on Sunday in connection with an alleged job racket by a gang in Anna Nagar.

Over 1,000 persons had lodged police complaints stating they paid between Rs.35,000 and Rs.1 lakh to the company, which promised them lucrative jobs after skilled training. The company had claimed to have branches in five centres besides Anna Nagar. The office was found locked two days ago. Investigations revealed that the main accused who had promoted the company belonged to Andhra Pradesh. He had opened the firm a few years ago. Special teams have been formed to secure the accused.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Central) P.Balasubramanian said they had arrested project manager of the firm Sri Ganesh (52), computer education manager F. Charles (36) and computer supplier Kiran (32), daughter of Om Prakash Aggarwal. The police are on the look out for other executives of the company, he added.
