NECC plea to Centre

HYDERABAD: The National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) appealed to the Centre to immediately ban forward trading in maize and soya meal and canalise their export through a designated agency.

It wants a ceiling on the volume of their exports. A press release issued by NECC said these measures were absolutely necessary to ensure availability of the essential ingredients of poultry feed to farmers at an affordable price. They were also required to make sure that eggs and chicken were available to consumers at a reasonable price.
