TRS chief to begin his road show in Warangal today Ganga Reddy replaced by his son for Dichpally Assembly bypoll
HYDERABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has announced the candidature of Mohammed Khaja Arifuddin, a builder, for Khairatabad Assembly byelection. Meanwhile, the party replaced on health grounds, K. Ganga Reddy with his son Anand Reddy for the Dichpally Assembly byelection. Mr. Ganga Reddy was the MLA of the constituency till he resigned along with other party legislators which led to byelections. The twin decisions were announced by TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao before he left for the election campaign on behalf of the party on Sunday afternoon. He will carry out the campaign in a newly acquired Eicher bus which has been modified as a luxury vehicle for long travels. He will take up a road show by the bus in Warangal district on Monday. Mr. Rao told reporters before his departure that he will return to the city on Thursday to address four public meetings in Khairatabad Assembly constituency. The party was focussed on campaign in the constituency after dividing it into eleven segments. A party leader would be in-charge of each segment. He said it was decided to allot the party ticket to a Muslim for Khairatabad in a bid to empower the community which could not expect justice in an integrated State.
