Celebrating 40 years of Khasak
Staff Reporter
PALAKKAD: The 40th anniversary of the publication of the Malayalam novel Khasakinte Ithihasam was celebrated at Thazarak, a remote village near Kinssery, 8 km from the town on Sunday.
Author O.V. Vijayan got the idea of writing this celebrated novel while he was living at Thazarak 50 years ago. A meeting was organised at Thazarak jointly by Shekharipuram Grandhashala and the Mathrubhumi Study Circle to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the publication of the novel and acquaint the younger generation with the geography of the place that gave the idea for writing the novel and most of its characters.
Economist P.A. Vasudevan was the moderator.
