‘Panchaloha’ idol found in temple tank

ARIYALUR: A ‘panchaloha’ idol of Krishna was found in a temple tank at Puduchavady near here on Saturday.

It was spotted by a group of boys who informed the villagers.

The idol has been handed over to Revenue officials. Jayamkondam Tahsildar R. Ranganathan said steps would be taken to deposit the idol with the Archaeology Department.
