HYDERABAD: Yoga exponent Sri Ramdev appreciated the yeoman services being rendered by Gandhi Gyan Mandir Yoga Kendra for the last 34 years.

He was inaugurating the 3401st yoga camp at the Yoga Kendra on Saturday.

Sri Ramdev said that there was no need to set up another Patanjali Yoga peeth in city as Gandhi Gyan Mandir was doing the good work with dedication and urged people to take advantage of the Yoga Kendra. He also emphasised that modern medicines had dangerous side effects and only yoga could purify the whole society by inculcating in people, good habits and discipline to eliminate diseases and help build a strong and self-reliant country.

He called upon people to take up yoga as an essential part of life and also help others to get initiated into this great science of life.

Gyan Mandir Chairman Dhirajlal Kapadia and Director Praveen Kapadia urged Sri Ramdev to visit the city often and promote the work done by various yoga teachers and organisations.

The Kendra is starting yoga classes for new batches from Monday and the timings are from 6.30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 5.45 p.m. to 7.10 p.m. More details can be had from 24755331 or 66735331.
