TIRUNELVELI: Minister for Local Administration M.K. Stalin released a book, ‘Athiyamaan Nenjamum Anbu Thalaivar Ullamum’ in a function held at Palayamkottai Saturday. Compiled by chairman of Palayamkottai Zone of Tirunelveli Corporation and Tirunelveli district presidium chairman of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Suba. Seetharaman, the book comprises Mr. Seetharaman’s 29 articles published in Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s mouthpiece, ‘Murasoli’. Presiding over the function, Central Committee Member of Communist Party of India R. Nallakannu, while explaining the contributions of Mr. Seetharaman to propagate rationalistic principles in Tirunelveli and Palayamkottai, said the people of Tamil Nadu, who were about to taste the fruits of Sethusamudram Ship Channel Project, should strive to ensure the completion of this scheme, now stalled by various reasons. Mr. Stalin lauded the services of Mr. Seetharaman as a government servant and the contributions to the society as a politician. Union Minister of State for Home V. Radhika Selvi, Speaker R. Avudaiyappan, State Government ministers T.P.M. Maideen Khan, Poongothai Aladi Aruna, Tamilarasi, Tirunelveli Mayor A.L. Subramanian, MLAs M. Appavu, V. Karuppasamy Pandian and N. Maalairaja, Deputy Mayor K. Muthuramalingam, the Vice-Chancellor, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University R. Sabapathi Mohan and president of Tamil Nadu Government Officials’ Union G. Suryamurthy were among those who attended the function.
