DYFI defends new scheme

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State committee of the DYFI has flayed what it termed attempts by communal and caste forces to scuttle the single-window scheme drawn up by the Education Department for admissions to higher secondary courses. In a statement on Friday, the DYFI State secretariat called upon the public to defend the scheme which, it said, was aimed at ending the irregularities that marked higher secondary admissions and to bring about transparency in the admission process.
