Sumit’s century goes in vain

NEW DELHI: Sumit Sharma’s century for Moody International, Panchkula, went in vain as fine knocks by Abhinav Kataria (54) and Rahul Panta (49) helped Malik Sports win by three wickets and enter the prequarterfinals of the 24th Laxman Das memorial cricket tournament here.

The scores: Moody International Panchkula 241 for six in 40 overs (Sumit Sharma 105, Vishal Sahni 44) lost to Malik Sports 242 for seven in 37 Overs (Abhinav Kataria 54, Rahul Panta 49, J. P. Singh 44).
