Birla Corporation pays 40 % dividend

KOLKATA: Birla Corporation, the flagship company of the M. P. Birla Group, has achieved the highest-ever turnover of Rs. 1,996.78 crore in 2007-08, an increase of 11 per cent over the previous year’s Rs. 1,794.51 crore. The net profit has gone up by 21 per cent to Rs. 393.57 crore. The board of directors has declared a dividend of 40 per cent against 35 per cent previously. — Special Correspondent
