Sri Vaasavi Maata jayanti on May 14

VIZIANAGARAM: Sri Kanyakaparameswari Ammavari Devasthanam is making arrangements to celebrate the birthday of Sri Vaasavi Maata on May 14, according to K. Veerabhadra Swamy, MLA and honorary president of the devasthanam. The celebrations beginning with ‘Kalisa Prathishta’ followed by Maha Ganapathi pooja in the evening on May 13 would end at 8.30 pm on the next day with ‘pancha harathulu’, he added. At a press conference here on Friday, he said Finance Minister K. Rosaiah would inaugurate the “Thiruveedhi Utsav” of the Goddess at 4 pm on May 14.
