Rajab scalps five including a hat-trick

Madurai: Rajab’s five for 18, including a hat-trick, helped Spark Cricket Club defeat Oliva Cricket Club by 57-runs in the Prof. T.V. Ramachandran Memorial Trophy District-level Twenty20 cricket tournament organised by Supersonic Cricket Club at Madurai Kamaraj University ground here on Thursday.

The scores: Spark CC 137 for nine (Arunraj 40, Pandy three for 23) bt Oliva 80 in 18.2 overs (Anand three for eight, Rajab five for 18, including hat-trick).

TVS Srichakra 118 in 19.3 overs (Raja three for 36) bt Dhaya CC 108 for eight (Ajay three for seven).

Pykara CC 131 (Sethu 31) bt Sun CC 107 for eight (Mani three for seven); Asian Sport CC 137 for six (Arun 31) bt Kapil Devils 128 for four (Venkat 51 n.o.).

Carom championship

The Tamil Nadu State Carrom championship for boys and girls will be held at Ben Matriculation School, Nagamalai Pudukottai on May 10 and 11.
