Thrissur Gymkhana wins title

KOCHI: Thrissur Gymkhana defeated Thiruvananthapuram’s Coastal Club 2-1 and won the Bhagat Soccer Club’s all-Kerala sevens football tournament at Maradu.

The Thrissur team’s goals came early, through Pereira (fifth minute) and Anilkumar (30th), while Othollo netted Coastal Club’s consolation goal in the 58th minute. Thrissur’s Pereira was adjudged as the tournament’s best player and Coastal’s Baiju the best goalkeeper.
