Coimbatore: It’s a great feeling to win the season finale at the Brands Hatch circuit, the home of motor sport. It is not only good that I won the race, but also because I pushed the team to the top 10,” said an elated Narain Karthikeyan over phone. “I made a good start and defended my position. Despite the challenge from Robbie Kerr, I was able to control the pace,” he added. Narain said it was the second pit stop that worked the magic. “The first pit stop was pretty slow, but we compensated well in the second.” Narain was happy that he scored twice this season but felt it could be better. “Compared to the last two years, this certainly has been a great season. We worked as a team and everything clicked.” With the Ferraris’ coming on board, he said it’s going to be brighter next season. “The Ferraris’ will suit my driving style, and it’s going to be good from here.” — Sports Reporter
