HYDERABAD: An 11-year-old boy who was kidnapped on Sunday evening from a playground at Saidabad was released after an hour.

Rajeev, a resident of Subramanyam Colony in Saidabad, was playing cricket near his house along with his friends – Ajit and Aditya when four persons abducted him in a white Maruti car around 5.15 p.m.

Rajeev’s friends told the police that the car was parked near the ground for about an hour before the abduction. After an hour, a passer-by noticed the child near a petrol pump at Narapally in Ghatkesar. Then he took the phone number of Rajeev’s father Suryanarayana Rao, an engineer with CMC, and informed the location.
