Plea for ‘pavala vaddi’ loans to traders

HYDERABAD: The AP Arya Vysya Mahasabha has appealed to the State to extend loans of below Rs.2 lakh to small traders at 3 p.c. interest and provide them 200 units of power at domestic rates. V. Kanaka Raju, president, and I. Koteswara Rao, secretary, said ‘pavala vaddi’ loans to traders were necessary as they were finding it hard to sustain themselves in view of stiff competition.
