NSS cell invites applications

Colleges, teacher training institutions, higher secondary schools can apply before May 15


PUDUCHERRY: The State National Service Scheme (NSS) cell has invited applications from schools and colleges interested in introducing NSS in the coming academic year. The applications should be submitted before May 15.

The cell said in a release that the NSS was functional in a total of 180 schools and colleges with 17,500 students in the Union Territory. The Central government had granted permission to enrol 1,500 more students this year.Colleges, teacher training institutions, higher secondary schools that wished to introduce NSS this year could send in their applications. Institutions which already had NSS and would like to start additional divisions, could also apply. The applications should be addressed to the Office of the State Liaison Officer Cell NSS, State NSS Cell, 4th floor, ‘B’ block, Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Centenary Educational Complex, Anna Nagar, Puducherry 605 005.
