KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting (Kolkata) played with 10 men to drub Vasco SC (Goa) 3-0 in the concluding round (final phase) of the I-League second division at Guwahati on Saturday. According to information received here, Adebayo Adewusi opened the scoring for Mohammedan Sporting in the 29th minute. Subair Murtiala Ali doubled the score after the break in the 50th minute. Sporting was down to 10 men in the 59th minute when Tapan Giri was sent off for dangerous-play. Despite the setback, Mohammedan Sporting scored another goal in the 64th minute through forward A. Jothi Kumar to complete the humiliation of the Goa side. Mumbai FC on topMumbai FC topped the league table beating Chirag United 1-0 in a concluding round. Felix Aboagye scored from a 14th-minute penalty to give Mumbai FC the decisive goal. With the win Mumbai FC remained the only undefeated side in the tournament and tallied 13 points to finish on top of the six-team final phase. On the other hand Chirag finished in the third spot with 10 points from five matches. In the match between two sides who have remained point-less so far, Indian Bank will take on Pune FC.
