VISAKHAPATNAM: It is high time parents, and society in general, realise their responsibility towards children in the present-day society starved of affection and attention, president of the Bhagavatula Charitable Trust and a former IAS official P.V.R.K. Prasad has remarked. He made the observation while inaugurating on Thursday the month-long Satyagraha campaign undertaken by schoolchildren at a function at Moolajumpa village in Rambilli mandal. Complimenting the BCT for undertaking the unique sensitisation programme undertaken by the BCT, Mr. Prasad said modern culture had arrived in villages too and parents had little time for the kids, with the fathers getting addicted to drink and the mothers to the television programmes. “Therefore, corrective action is urgently warranted.”
