Wienerberger commences Indian operations

CHENNAI: Wienerberger Brick Industry, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wienerberger, the larger producer of clay hollow bricks in Europe, has announced its foray into the Indian market with an initial investment of Rs. 90 crore. The funds will be utilised for setting up a manufacturing plant in Kunigal, Karnataka. Commercial production will start by the end of 2008. — Corporate Reporter
