Aid distributed to accident victims

CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Monday distributed Rs.11 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to families of Revenue Department employees in Villupuram district killed in an accident.

While a cheque for Rs.5 lakh was given to the wife of deceased Tindivanam Tahsildar Krishnakumari, Rs.2.50 lakh each was presented to the families of two officers who died in the accident. A sum of Rs.50,000 each was given to the injured driver and a Revenue Divisional Officer. — Special Correspondent
