I am not at fault, says Nayanthara
Staff Reporter
CHENNAI: “I have not got any official call or letter [from Chennai Super Kings] saying my contract has been terminated,” actor Nayanthara told The Hindu over telephone on Friday.
“This is very unprofessional. They did not have the courtesy to call and inform me,” she said. “They informed me about the launch at 8 p.m. the previous day and as I was not in town, there was no way I could make it. Had I known a little earlier, I would have certainly come.”
Not well
The actor said she could not make it to the first match as she fell sick while shooting in Hyderabad.
“I fainted on the sets and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors told me I had to rest for at least two days. I was feeling really weak. Don’t people fall sick?” she asked.
Adding that she had copies of the MoU signed and of the medical reports, she said she could prove she was not at fault.
