Gaming championships from May 15

Hyderabad: Race, fight, score goals, take wickets, the arena has been set. Get ready for ‘Vixture Gaming Championship’, the biggest gaming tournament that the twin cities will witness from May 15 to 30.

The gaming championships will have popular console games by Electronic Arts such as Crysis, Need For Speed-Pro Street, Cricket 07’, Fifa 08’ and Fight Night- Round 3.

Teams of five gamers each will play these games in a winner takes all competition. The preliminary rounds are being held across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. More than 50,000 gamers will battle it out to secure a place in the three-day finals that will be held from June 13 to 15.

Gaming teams will have a chance to win Rs. 20 lakh, runner ups will be given Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 4 lakh will be given to top gamers in each of the five games.
