Sun SC advances

CHENNAI: Sun Sports Club (Dindigul) and Tuticorin Port moved into the pre-quarterfinal round of the Champion Club football tournament here on Wednesday.

The margin of victory was 3-1 with Sun SC defeating Youth FC Krishnagiri while Tuticorin Port beating Poovai Youngsters, Tiruvallur.

The results: Sun SC 3 (Sivakumar, Aiyappan, Satish Kumar) bt Krishnagiri 1 (Sankara Raja); Tuticorin Port 3 (A.K. Vinesh, Dinesh, Naveen) bt Poovai Youngsters, Tiruvallur 1 (Anbu).
