Gayle arrives

KOLKATA: West Indies opener Chris Gayle landed in the city on Wednesday to join his Kolkata Knight Riders teammates. Meanwhile the two Pakistani players, Salman Butt and Umar Gul, are expected by Thursday giving the local team the full compliment of its foreign players before its match against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.

Gayle, who scored the first hundred of the World Twenty20 championship in South Africa, arrived on Wednesday morning from Jamaica. — Special Correspondent
