Centre for media research in Manipal

Staff Correspondent

Manipal: Manipal Institute of Communication’s new Centre for Media and Marketing Communication Research will be inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of Manipal University Raj P. Warrier here on April 24. The event is being cosponsored by the United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI).

In a release here on Tuesday, Director of the Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC) Buroshiva Dasgupta said that the centre aims to provide pioneering leadership in the areas of media and marketing communication research in India.

The centre will also act as a bridge between academia and the communication industry, thus promoting a better understanding between the two entities; offering top quality training to students and increasing job opportunities.

The inauguration will be followed by a seminar, “Research methods in Social Sciences: A Global Perspective”.
