Heart surgery: registration for financial assistance on Saturday

CUDDALORE: Registration for availing of the financial assistance scheme of the State Government for undergoing heart surgery will be done at St Joseph’s Higher Secondary School here on April 26.
A statement released by Joint Director (Health) N.Raja stated that the government had announced the scheme for helping those below the poverty line (with an annual income of less than Rs 50,000) to undergo heart surgery.
The aid would be given as follows: for minor surgeries Rs 10,000 and Rs 30,000 and for the open-heart surgery Rs 70,000.
The medical team from the Madras Medical Mission Hospital will register the candidates at the venue.
Those who had already been screened for the heart problems should bring the reports.
