Facile win for EG

VIJAYAWADA: East Godavari scored a facile 37-19 victory over Nellore, while host Krishna defeated Anantapur 21-17 in the league encounters of the State-level invitational kabaddi tournament for men at Kamineni Eswar Rao sports arena at the industrial expo here on Sunday.

League results: Guntur bt Nellore 46-18; Krishna bt Anantapur 21-17; East Godavari bt Nellore 37-19.

Hockey tournament

Andhra Women Hockey Association will conduct the State sub-junior tournament at Acharya Nagarjuna University campus in Guntur district from April 26 to 29 in which teams from 17 districts are expected to take part, according to Y. Kishore, physical director, ANU, here on Sunday. — Sports Reporter
