AIADMK plans demonstration

CHENNAI: The AIADMK will stage a demonstration in Puducherry on April 21 demanding modernisation of the Puducherry Textiles Corporation. In a statement, party general secretary Jayalalithaa said deterioration in the administration of the company should be stopped. Steps should be taken to increase production. Salaries should be hiked and labourers paid dearness allowance on a par with that of officers. — Special Correspondent
